Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of RankForGEO. Please read them carefully before creating an account or using the Service. RankForGEO is in early access: these Terms describe the Service as offered today, and we will update them when material features change.

Last updated July 26, 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you (“Customer”, “you”, or “your”) and the operator of RankForGEO and the website rank4geo.com (“RankForGEO”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). RankForGEO is operated as a business-to-business software service. Where a separate legal entity name is required for formal contracting, we will identify it on an order form, invoice, or by updating these Terms.

You accept these Terms by creating an account, completing a checkout, clicking to accept, or otherwise accessing or using the Service. If you accept on behalf of a company or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity, and “you” refers to that entity. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal information and is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Order of precedence if documents conflict: (1) a signed order form we issue, (2) these Terms for contractual rights and obligations, and (3) the Privacy Policy for personal-data practices described there.

2. Definitions

  • Service means the RankForGEO platform and related websites, applications, APIs, documentation, and features we make available, including site audits, keyword research, content research and drafting workflows, scoring, AI-visibility measurement, workspaces, sharing features, and related tools.
  • AI Features means features that use machine learning or generative AI models (including third-party model providers) to research, draft, score, summarize, classify, or otherwise process content or data.
  • Visibility Measurement means features that query third-party AI answer platforms or related data sources to assess whether a brand, domain, or topic appears in AI answers or related signals.
  • Input means content, prompts, URLs, files, brand materials, configuration, and instructions you or your Authorized Users submit to the Service, AI Features, or Visibility Measurement.
  • Output means content or results generated by AI Features or returned by Visibility Measurement in response to Inputs (for example, article drafts, briefs, scores, recommendations, or visibility findings).
  • Customer Data means data, content, files, and materials that you or your Authorized Users submit to, store in, or generate within the Service, including Inputs and Outputs, workspace configuration, connected domains, audit or research results, and materials associated with your account.
  • Authorized User means an individual you permit to access the Service under your account (for example, employees, contractors, or, if you are an agency, client stakeholders you invite).
  • Workspace means a project space within the Service used to organize work for a brand, site, or client.
  • Usage Data means technical logs, telemetry, performance metrics, and aggregated or de-identified information derived from use of the Service.
  • Subscription means a paid or free plan entitling you to access the Service for a defined period and subject to plan limits.
  • Shared Content means Customer Data you choose to make available via a share link, review link, public report, or similar feature.

3. The Service

RankForGEO provides software that helps teams research, prepare, evaluate, and manage content and visibility for traditional search and AI-powered answers. The Service is designed so that you remain in control of what is published to your own properties: RankForGEO prepares materials; you review and decide what goes live.

Subject to these Terms and timely payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable right during your Subscription to access and use the Service for your internal business purposes. If you are an agency or consultancy, you may use the Service for the benefit of your clients, provided you remain fully responsible for your clients’ and Authorized Users’ compliance with these Terms.

We may add, modify, or discontinue features over time. We will not intentionally remove core paid functionality mid-term without a reasonable alternative or notice, but the Service evolves and no specific feature is guaranteed forever unless stated in a signed order form. We do not commit to any uptime service level unless expressly agreed in writing.

4. Accounts, workspaces & Authorized Users

You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of credentials and for all activity under your account, including actions by Authorized Users. Seats and user credentials are for named individuals and may not be shared in a way that circumvents plan limits.

You must ensure Authorized Users comply with these Terms. If you invite teammates or client users, you are responsible for providing any notices and obtaining any permissions required for their use of the Service under your account. You must notify us promptly at contact@rank4geo.com if you become aware of unauthorized access or a security incident involving your account.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. The Service is intended for business use, not for children or consumer personal use as a primary purpose.

5. Use restrictions

You will not, and will not permit others to:

  • use the Service in violation of applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights (including privacy, publicity, and intellectual property rights);
  • use the Service to create, distribute, or facilitate unlawful, deceptive, defamatory, fraudulent, or infringing content, or content that exploits or harms minors;
  • reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, non-public prompts, model weights, or underlying ideas of the Service, except to the limited extent applicable law prohibits this restriction;
  • sell, resell, rent, lease, or commercially redistribute the Service itself (this does not prevent agencies from using the Service to serve clients as described in Section 3);
  • interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other customers, or related systems;
  • probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without our prior written authorization;
  • circumvent plan limits, billing, rate limits, seat restrictions, or other technical controls;
  • use the Service to develop, train, or improve a competing product or foundation model, or to assist others in doing so;
  • scrape or extract data from third-party sites or AI platforms through the Service in a manner that violates those platforms’ terms or applicable law;
  • submit personal data, confidential information, or regulated data that you are not authorized to process, or special-category/sensitive data unless we have expressly agreed in writing to support that use;
  • use the Service or Outputs to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on individuals (for example, employment, credit, housing, insurance, or medical decisions) without meaningful human review where required by law; or
  • misrepresent the origin of Outputs, impersonate others, or claim RankForGEO guarantees rankings, traffic, revenue, or AI citations.

We may suspend access if use threatens the security, integrity, or availability of the Service or harms other customers, or if required by law or a provider. Where reasonably practicable, we will notify you and limit suspension to the affected portion of the account.

6. AI Features, visibility measurement & Outputs

6.1 Model providers and answer platforms

AI Features and Visibility Measurement may use third-party systems, including:

  • Generative / foundation model providers used to research, draft, score, or transform content (for example, Anthropic for certain editorial and product workflows); and
  • AI answer platforms and related APIs used to measure visibility (for example, services associated with ChatGPT/OpenAI, Claude/Anthropic, Gemini/Google, and Perplexity), as well as SEO and research data providers such as DataForSEO.

We may add, remove, or change providers over time for operational, quality, security, cost, or availability reasons. When you use these features, Inputs (such as prompts, brand or domain context, questions, URLs, site content you ask us to process, and related operational metadata) may be sent to the relevant provider. Those providers process data under their own terms and configurations. We do not control their independent products or public answer surfaces.

6.2 License to Inputs

You grant RankForGEO and its subprocessors (including model providers and visibility data providers) a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, transmit, and display Inputs only as needed to provide, secure, and support the Service, and to prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents. This license does not authorize use of Customer Data to train general-purpose foundation models, except as expressly described in Section 6.4.

6.3 Ownership of Outputs

As between you and RankForGEO, you own the Outputs generated for you through the Service, subject to (a) third-party rights in underlying materials, (b) applicable provider terms, and (c) the limitations in this Section 6. RankForGEO claims no ownership of your Outputs solely because they were generated using the Service. You acknowledge that under some laws, AI-generated content may have limited or uncertain intellectual-property protection, and that identical or similar Outputs may be produced for others from similar Inputs.

6.4 No training on Customer Data

RankForGEO does not use Customer Data to train or fine-tune general-purpose, foundation, or large language models offered by us or by our model providers, except where you expressly opt into a separate program that clearly says so. We may use de-identified, aggregated Usage Data and analytics that do not identify you or any individual to operate, secure, debug, evaluate, and improve the Service, including AI Feature quality and safety.

6.5 Nature of Outputs & human review

AI Features and Visibility Measurement are probabilistic and depend on third-party systems. Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, biased, non-unique, or unsuitable for your use case. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, fact-checking, and approving Outputs before you rely on them, publish them, share them, or make business decisions based on them. Nothing in the Service guarantees search rankings, organic traffic, AI answer citations, or any particular business result.

6.6 Provider policies

Use of AI Features and Visibility Measurement is also subject to the acceptable-use and usage policies of the relevant providers. You must not submit content prohibited by those policies.

7. Customer Data, sites & sharing

7.1 Ownership and license

As between the parties, you retain all right, title, and interest in Customer Data. You grant RankForGEO a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, transmit, display, and otherwise use Customer Data only as necessary to provide and support the Service, enforce these Terms, and meet legal obligations, including through trusted subprocessors.

7.2 Your warranties (including sites you ask us to analyze)

You represent and warrant that:

  • you have all rights, consents, and authority needed to submit Customer Data (including brand materials, teammate or client information, and domains or URLs you ask us to crawl, audit, research, or measure) and to grant the licenses in these Terms;
  • where you submit competitor domains, third-party URLs, or client sites, you are authorized to request analysis of that material for your lawful business purposes, and doing so does not intentionally violate applicable law or those parties’ enforceable rights;
  • Customer Data and your use of the Service do not violate applicable law or third-party rights; and
  • where you process personal data of others through the Service, you provide any notices and obtain any consents required by law.

If you connect a website or domain for audits, research, competitor analysis, or AI-visibility measurement, you authorize us to access and process publicly available pages and related technical signals for that purpose, and any non-public data available through integrations you enable. Research and SEO features may also process third-party web content and search-related data obtained through our data providers.

7.3 Shared Content (public reports, review links, and similar features)

The Service may allow you to create shareable links, public AI-visibility reports, article review pages, or similar Shared Content. Shared Content may be viewable by anyone who has the link, without logging into RankForGEO, and may include domain names, insights, sample answers, competitor references, article text, or other Customer Data you include.

You control whether to create, distribute, or revoke Shared Content where the product provides those controls. You are solely responsible for deciding what to share, with whom, and under what confidentiality obligations to your clients. Do not share client-confidential material via a public or unauthenticated link unless you have the right to do so. We are not responsible for third parties who access Shared Content using a link you distributed, or for search engines or caches that may index publicly accessible pages.

8. Integrations, CMS & third-party services

The Service may integrate with or link to third-party products (for example, Google Search Console, analytics tools, payment processors, AI platforms, or a CMS or publishing destination when that feature is available). Your use of those products is governed by the third party’s terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, security, or content.

Enabling an integration authorizes us to exchange data with that service as needed to provide the integration. If you connect a publishing destination and choose to publish or export content, you authorize us to transmit the content and related metadata you select to that destination. You remain responsible for reviewing content before publish and for configuring credentials securely.

9. Subscriptions, fees & payment

9.1 Plans and limits

Access may be subject to plan limits (for example, articles, audits, AI-visibility runs, seats, or workspaces). We may rate-limit, throttle, or require upgrades or add-ons if you exceed limits or use the Service in ways that harm platform stability. Unused allowances in a billing period do not roll over unless we expressly say so for a plan.

9.2 Fees and processor

When paid Subscriptions are offered, they are billed according to the plan you select at checkout or on an order form. We use Polar as merchant of record to process payments (subscriptions, tax, and invoices). Full payment card numbers are held by Polar or its payment partners, not by us. You authorize recurring charges to your payment method for renewing Subscriptions until cancelled. References in these Terms to fees “paid for the Service” include amounts you pay to us or to Polar for RankForGEO.

9.3 Renewal and cancellation

Unless otherwise stated at checkout or on an order form, Subscriptions renew automatically for successive periods equal to the prior term. You may cancel a Subscription at any time through the billing portal or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the then-current paid period; you retain access until that date. We do not provide partial-period credits for unused time unless required by law or expressly stated by us in writing.

Cancelling a Subscription is not the same as deleting your account or Customer Data. After cancellation, account and workspace data may remain until you request deletion or we delete it under our retention practices (see Section 13 and the Privacy Policy).

9.4 No refunds

Fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or where we expressly agree otherwise in writing (for example, to correct a verified duplicate charge). This applies to monthly and annual plans and to add-on purchases.

9.5 Price changes and taxes

We may change fees for a renewal term by providing notice (for example, by email or in-product notice) before the renewal. Mid-term price increases for the same plan scope require mutual agreement, except for taxes, usage overages, or changes you request. Fees are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise; you are responsible for taxes imposed on your purchase, excluding taxes based on our net income.

9.6 Non-payment

If payment fails or remains overdue after notice, we may suspend or limit access until amounts due are paid. Suspension does not waive amounts owed.

10. Beta & early access

We may offer beta, preview, trial, or early-access features. Those features are provided “as is,” may change or end at any time, and are not subject to any service-level or support commitments. Use is voluntary and at your own risk.

11. Intellectual property & feedback

The Service—including software, UI, documentation, branding, workflows, prompts, scoring methods, and other materials we provide—is and remains the exclusive property of RankForGEO and its licensors. These Terms grant only the limited rights expressly stated. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service except as allowed by law or written agreement.

Customer Data (including Outputs, as set out in Section 6) remains yours. If you provide feedback or suggestions about the Service, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use that feedback without restriction or compensation.

12. Confidentiality

Each party may receive non-public information from the other that is marked confidential or that a reasonable person would understand to be confidential (“Confidential Information”). Customer Data is your Confidential Information, except Shared Content you choose to make publicly or broadly accessible. Non-public product, pricing, security, and roadmap information is our Confidential Information.

The receiving party will use Confidential Information only to perform under these Terms, protect it with reasonable care, and not disclose it to third parties except to personnel and advisors who need it and are bound by confidentiality obligations at least as protective as these. Confidential Information does not include information that is public without breach, already known without duty, independently developed, or rightfully received from a third party without restriction. If disclosure is legally required, the receiving party will, where permitted, give prompt notice so the disclosing party may seek protective relief.

13. Suspension, termination, export & deletion

13.1 Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay fees when due, create legal or security risk, or if we are required to do so by law or a critical provider. Where the breach is capable of cure and immediate suspension is not required to protect the Service, other customers, or legal compliance, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to provide notice and a cure period of up to thirty (30) days before terminating for that breach. Either party may terminate for convenience by cancelling the Subscription as described in Section 9, subject to any committed term on an order form.

13.2 Effect of termination; export

On termination or expiration, your right to access the Service ends. You may download Customer Data using in-product download features where available (for example, an article export). For other assistance, email contact@rank4geo.com. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to assist, subject to verification and technical feasibility. We do not guarantee a full machine-readable export of every data type unless required by applicable law.

13.3 Deletion

Cancelling billing (when billing is enabled) does not by itself delete Customer Data. Workspace owners can delete a workspace in Settings; deleting your last workspace deletes your RankForGEO account and login. You may also request account closure and deletion by emailing contact@rank4geo.com. We will process verified deletion requests as described in our Privacy Policy (typically within about thirty (30) days, subject to backups, legal holds, and records we must retain).

Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including Sections 6 (AI disclaimers and ownership as applicable), 7, 11–12, 14–17, and 19–21.

14. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service, AI Features, Visibility Measurement, and Outputs are provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that Outputs will be accurate, complete, original, or fit for any purpose.

Without limiting the foregoing, RankForGEO does not warrant any particular search ranking, AI citation, traffic, conversion, or revenue outcome. The Service depends on third-party infrastructure, networks, model providers, AI answer platforms, and data sources outside our control.

15. Indemnification

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless RankForGEO and its personnel from and against claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) Customer Data, including Inputs, Outputs, and Shared Content you create or distribute; (b) your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or applicable law; (c) your products, services, websites, client work, or sites/domains you ask us to analyze; or (d) disputes between you and your clients, Authorized Users, or other third parties.

16. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RankForGEO will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or business opportunities, whether based on contract, tort, or any other theory, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RankForGEO’s aggregate liability arising out of or related to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the total fees paid for the Service (to RankForGEO or its payment processor / merchant of record) in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. If no fees have been paid for the Service in that period, our aggregate liability will not exceed one thousand Indian Rupees (INR 1,000).

These limitations are a fundamental basis of the bargain and apply even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including liability for fraud or willful misconduct where such exclusion is prohibited).

17. Governing law & disputes

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the Service are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The parties will first attempt in good faith to resolve disputes through informal discussion for at least thirty (30) days after written notice of the dispute (email is sufficient). If unresolved, the courts in India will have exclusive jurisdiction, and each party consents to that venue. If we later specify a particular city for exclusive venue (for example, on an order form or an updated version of these Terms), that city will control for disputes arising after the update.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. For material changes that adversely affect existing customers, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, by email to the account owner or an in-product notice), typically at least thirty (30) days before the changes take effect where practicable. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service and cancel any Subscription.

19. Service changes & discontinuation

We may modify or discontinue the Service (in whole or in part), including if we reorganize operations or form a company to operate RankForGEO. Where reasonably practicable, we will provide advance notice of a material discontinuation of paid Service. Unless required by law or expressly agreed in writing, discontinuation does not entitle you to a refund of fees for periods already paid. We may transfer these Terms, your account, and related Customer Data to a successor entity that continues to operate RankForGEO (including a company we form for that purpose), provided the successor is bound to obligations no less protective of you in material respects for the remaining Subscription term.

20. General

  • Entire agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any applicable order form constitute the entire agreement between you and RankForGEO regarding the Service and supersede prior or contemporaneous agreements on that subject.
  • Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent, except to an affiliate or successor in connection with a merger or sale of substantially all assets, provided the assignee agrees in writing to be bound. We may assign these Terms in connection with a corporate reorganization, merger, sale of assets, or transfer to a company formed to operate RankForGEO.
  • Severability & waiver. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
  • Force majeure. Neither party is liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, including outages of third-party providers, internet failures, acts of God, war, labor disputes, or government action.
  • Independent contractors. The parties are independent contractors. These Terms do not create a partnership, joint venture, or employment relationship.
  • Export & sanctions. You will not use the Service in violation of applicable export control or sanctions laws, or for the benefit of sanctioned parties or jurisdictions where prohibited.
  • Notices. We may provide notices to the email address associated with your account. Notices to us must be sent to contact@rank4geo.com.

21. Intellectual property complaints

If you believe content accessible through the Service infringes your intellectual property rights, email contact@rank4geo.com with the subject line “IP Complaint” and include: (a) identification of the work claimed to be infringed; (b) identification of the material and its location in the Service (URL or sufficient detail); (c) your contact information; (d) a statement of good-faith belief that use is not authorized; and (e) a statement that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act. We may remove or disable access to material and, where appropriate, notify the account holder.

22. Contact
